Where the data comes from

Our crawler continuously samples battle logs from thousands of players — seeded from the global leaderboard and expanded through the players found in each match. Every battle is deduplicated and counted once, recording each brawler's pick, result, map, and trophy level.

Time periods

Battles are filed under the day they were played. Today = battles played on the current UTC date. 7 days = the last week. Month = the current and previous calendar month. All time = everything since we started tracking. Shorter windows react faster to balance changes but are noisier; 7 days is the sweet spot and the default.

Skill segments

Top 200 counts only battles by players currently on the global top-200 leaderboard — the elite meta, but a smaller sample. 800+ / 1000+ count only plays made at that many trophies on the brawler — the high-ladder meta with more volume.

Win rate, adjusted

Raw win rates mislead: a rarely-picked brawler played only by dedicated mains shows an inflated win rate on a tiny sample. We shrink each win rate toward the global average in proportion to how little data backs it (a Bayesian prior of ~800 battles), so 58% on 500 battles counts for less than 52% on 40,000. Rows under 300 battles get a "low sample" badge.

Meta Score & tiers

The Meta Score (0–100) combines adjusted win rate (55%) with pick rate (45%, log scale): a brawler that is picked everywhere and wins is stronger evidence of meta dominance than a niche specialist's win rate. Tiers are then fixed quantiles of the field: the top 15% of brawlers are S, the next 20% A, 30% B, 20% C, and the bottom 15% D — so tier sizes are always proportional, and a tier is always relative to the current selection.
